| Operation Bling and I had a college intern all summer! Here I go again with another Morristown High School grad! Meg Gilbert, who I have known since before she was born, is now a senior at Clemson University! Meg's minor is non-profit! I found out this past Spring that Meg needed one hundred hours of non-profit work this summer! I filled out all of the forms from Clemson necessary to get Meg as an intern and sent them back to the university. Her professors were thrilled because they had never heard of anything like Operation Bling and they teach this stuff! They were also thrilled because Meg would be exposed to and involved in the grass roots of the organization! I told Meg to bring home her textbooks and I read them cover to cover! I exposed Meg to every facet of Operation Bling's beginnings. We really taught each other! Meg even was a Bling Angel with Michele, the patient liaison on Franklin 4 in Morristown Memorial Hospital. Meg was invaluable to both Operation Bling and to me! Thank you Meg! |
