Operation Bling Inspires Across The Globe
cappichino  I want to share a unique experience I have had from Operation Bling's inspirational stories and individual success stories I have read over the past year. My name is Brian Capo. I am a family friend of the Ferdinands (went to high school with their son, Pete), Rutgers '08 Grad, US Army Military Police Staff Sergeant, and lost my mother to AIDS and a rare form of cancer back in November 2007. The Ferdinands have been there for all of these events and have supported me as if I were their own child, and with this same drive and desire to help others I have witnessed the awesome power of Operation Bling. Not until this past week did I share with Mrs. Ferdinand the impact Operation Bling's mission has had on my spiritual and emotional safeguarding while deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom this year. The amazing dedication the Ferdinands, their volunteers, local businesses and of course the "Blingees" gave me strength and a smile during times where those things run scarce. Operation Bling is an amazingly unique, special, awesome, fun, decorative, empowering way to show support to patients during extremely difficult times.

I salute the Blingers, Blingees, Bling Angels, businesses and supporters of Operation Bling. I thank the Ferdinands for showing just what the human heart is capable of, especially during times that I had clouded tunnel vision in Baghdad. I plan on becoming involved in the Blinging with Operation Bling, and just wanted to take this moment to share the impact this inspirational program has had on my life....from across the Globe!

Thank you for all that you do. Hooah and keep "Blingin!"

 Grant Writing Update
Operation Bling was not chosen to be the grant recipient by The One Hundred Women Making A Difference. Because Operation Bling did not make it even to the second round only goes to show that the world is good. It is good because The One Hundred Women had the opportunity to learn about other wonderful programs here in New Jersey making a difference. The thought of all of the other great stuff happening out there is a very heartwarming one!

Thank you to the 100W for the honor -- for a very young organization such as ours --  of being nominated and considered for such a prestigious and generous award! Thank you for all your organization does for the community!
Thank you ALL for your friendship, love, and support of the Operation Bling Foundation!

Much love,

Christine  and Bill Ferdinand
